Dos and Don'ts in IELTS Listening Test
1. စမဖြေခင်မှာ မေးခွန်းကို သေသေချာချာဖတ်ပါ။
စမဖြေခင်မှာ ပထမဦးဆုံး မေးခွန်းအကြောင်းအရာကို နားလည်အောင်သေသေချာချာ ဖတ်ပါ။ ကိုယ်နားထောင်ရမယ့် အကြောင်းအရာက နံပါတ်တွေလား နာမည်တွေလား နေရာတွေအကြောင်းလား စသည်ဖြင့် မေးခွန်းကို သေချာဖတ်ပြီး ကြိုတင်ခန့်မှန်းထားလို့ ရပါတယ်။ ဒါဆို တကယ်နားထောင်ရတဲ့အခါ ကိုယ်ကြိုမှန်းထားတဲ့ အကြောင်းအရာနဲ့ကိုက်ညီရင် အဖြေစဥ်းစားရာမှာ အချိန်ကုန်သက်သာစေပါတယ်။
Examine the questions carefully before you start, noting the type of information required (are you listening for a number/name/place etc). Often, the answer, or type of information needed, can be predicted and this can save you time during the test itself.
2. မေးခွန်းတစ်ခုကိုလွတ်သွားခဲ့ရင် ထားခဲ့လိုက်ပြီး ကျော်သွားလိုက်ပါ။
စဥ်းစားပြီး တွေးမပူနေပါနဲ့။ ချန်ထားခဲ့ပြီး ကျော်သွားလိုက်ပါ။ ကိုယ်ဆက်ဖြေရမယ့် တခြားမေးခွန်းတွေကိုသာ အဓိက အာရုံစိုက်ပါ။
If you have COMPLETELY MISSED a question, leave it and move on. You don’t want to get further behind. Concentrate on what you are doing and what is ahead of you, not what is behind you.
3. Spelling ကို သေချာဂရုစိုက်ပါ။
Spelling ကို သေချာဂရုစိုက်ဖို့ လိုပါတယ်။ မဟုတ်ရင် အမှားပေးခံရပါလိမ့်မယ်။
Take care with spelling – it needs to be spelt correctly or it will be marked wrong.
4. မေးခွန်းကို သေချာဖတ်ပါ။ များသောအားဖြင့် Word limit ရှိပါတယ်။
မေးခွန်းကို သေချာဖတ်ပါ။ များသောအားဖြင့် အဖြေတွေမှာ word limt ရှိပါတယ်။ ဥပမာ- စာလုံး သုံးလုံးထက်မပိုရဘူး Number တစ်ခုပဲရေးရမယ်လို့ ပြောထားရင် ကိုယ်ကပိုရေးမိတဲ့အခါ အမှတ်မရတတ်ပါဘူး။
Read the question carefully. There is usually a word limit. For example, your answer should not be more than three words and a number or more than two words and a number.
5. အဖြေကို ချက်ချင်း မြန်မြန် မဆုံးဖြတ်ပါနဲ့။
မေးခွန်းကို နားထောင်ပြီးပြီးချင်း အဖြေကို ချက်ချင်း မဆုံးဖြတ်လိုက်ပါနဲ့။ Speaker က အကြိမ်ပေါင်းများစွာ အဖြေမှန်ကနေ သွေဖယ်စေမယ့် Facts တွေကို ပေးနေမှာဖြစ်လို့ အဖြေမှန်ကို သေသေချာချာ စဥ်းစားရွေးချယ်ပြီးမှ ဖြေဆိုသင့်ပါတယ်။
Don’t choose the answer hastily. For several times, the speaker may mention something else to distract you before he or she gives you the right answer.
6. ပြောသမျှကို သေချာအာရုံစိုက်နားထောင်ပါ။
Listening Test မှာ အာရုံစူးစိုက်မှုက အဓိကပါပဲ။ အာရုံမစူးစိုက်နိုင်ဘူးဆိုရင် အဖြေမှန်တွေကို သေချာဖြေဆိုနိုင်မှာမဟုတ်ပါဘူး။
ဒါကြောင့် စာမေးပွဲ မဖြေခင်ညမှာ အိပ်ရေးဝဝအိပ်ဖို့ မမေ့ပါနဲ့။
Paying attention is the most important in the listening paper.
Make sure that you have a good night’s sleep before the exam. If you lose concentration, you are likely to miss the answers.
